Replacement for Bottle of Goo in Instant Mobility Kit?
I recently had a flat and, having no spare, used the can of goo (aka fix-a-flat) to temporarily repair my tire until I could get a replacement. The stuff actually worked pretty well, as it held pressure for 4 days under normal driving conditions until the tire place could get my replacement in stock.
I went to my local Mazda dealership to ask about getting a replacement can of goo. The parts guy checked the system but could not find the part number. He eventually called Mazda to ask about the part, and they told him that it could only be ordered as part of the entire kit (including the air pump) for $84!
Is the fix-a flat stuff you can buy at Walmart practically the same stuff as the Mazda can of goo? I would rather have the official Mazda stuff, but I don't want to pay $84 for it.
