Replacement Control arm bushings

After putting new springs and shocks in this weekend I couldn't believe how cheesy most of the bushings on this car are. The control arm bushings scream deflection and terrible dynamic alignment. I'm sure the links in the irs are just as bad. We're building a kit car with c5 control arms and replaced all the rubber bushings with polyurethane ones. Does anyone offer replacement bushings for the rx8? New bushings are supposed to make a HUGE difference.

FEED sells a set of spherical bearing (pillowball) replacements, they'll be a bit harsh for street driving

somebody here was talking about making delrin bushings once, never heard if they did nor do I know of any other replacments

How about all the bushings at the bottom... what kind of chassis are those for? There has to be more of a demand for these.. they are allowed in STU and make a huge difference in handling... dynamic alignment changes are really cut down.

Hm... I pmed a bunch of supplyers and didn't get a reply. I would really like to swap some of these bushings out. I think the stock a-arm bushings are part of the reason for needing to preload the suspension when you put new springs in, you can see them twist.

I've been wanting some poly bushings for a while. My lack of japanese and probably their lack of desire to ship to a single US person prevents me from obtaining a set.

I wonder why Powerflex or Energy Suspension hasn't produced something comparable to these yet.

I think some vendor with a japanese hookup should pick up a group buy

FWIW, the OE bushings are a unique design and likely better than any of the usual polyurethane crap, you'll need to go to delrin or spherical bearing/pillow ball to see any improvement at the price of greatly increased NVH
