Ric Shaw Performance brake pads
I've been tooling around Ric Shaw Performance, and I came across their brake pads. They are apparently made of ceramic, which my boss and I have agreed are the best material, especially on the street. Has anyone tried these, or has a good word on them? They are a world away, but they appear to be a good buy.

I am close to Ric and I am sure ceremics are good. I have not ask him about the rotor ware though. They said the pad should last longer than stock but I fear the rotor will suffer.
the V8 supercar use them and Ric uses them to race his RX7
I am sure it is good but with the stock rotor - not 100% sure.

Are they only good for the stock calipers? I'm also considering getting different calipers, more than likely Brembo. Ric Shaw sells the Alcon calipers, but they don't utilize the brake pads. I really want ceramics.
Also, I'm probably going to swap the stock rotors anyway, possibly for Power Slot, whenever they're available, or Rotora. Damn, there's so little options.

I think they sell the AP racing using ceremics.
I don't like the idea of changing the front clipers only... Dream factory in Japan (Umekono) said in the Option mag interview they will not consider just front caliper only as make the car unbalance and see the 4 pot in some mod shop races did not show huge advantage.
Love the Brembo look though

I concur. I think changing the front calipers only puts brake bias even more towards the front. OEM settings already are front-biased, I think, for better emergency braking.

I thought ceramics were better when used for racing applications than street. I could be wrong but don't they take a while to heat up to the right performance level? I have also heard some on a Porsche and they squeeked a little! I am sure they are top notch if they are from Shaw but maybe they are too much for an everyday car.
Let me know if I'm wrong because I enjoy learning new things.

Yeah I think ceramics are a little squeaky, but they make up in performance and duration. I'll be doing a little research with ceramics in the coming weeks; I'm taking materials science, so if any of y'all want to know more about ceramics, feel free to let me know.
