Is it true that the Volks racing: SF Challenge is tmps compatible? ive heard from a few that they aren't. Also, if its true that the SF challege's are compatible, how about the Volks Racing GT-S? Any help would be appreciated, i just want to verify. Thanks!!

I was told by the manager at America's Tires, "New car specifications require TPMS. All reputable wheel manufacturers are now incorporating TPMS into their wheels. There are probably some wheels that were made prior to this change still being sold."
I have G-Games 99Bs (made by Ray's, who also makes Volks) and the stock TPMS was installed with the new wheels.

does anyone know if any of the grams light rims especially the T57-RC or the 57F Pro take the tmps? The T57's are casting one peice while the Pro's are Forged 2 peice. How about the regular 57Pro that is casting 2 peice? Any info would help and sorry for all the questions

Is TPMS absolutely required to have on the wheels for our car? Outside of the warning light, what effects does it have on the car by not having it? Does the warning light also incorporate a consistent beeping of any sort? I am looking to get winter tires/wheels, and really am not keen on spending the extra $250 or so for these things when I will probably just make it a ritual to check tire pressure regularly.

TPMS question
Sup guys,
I'm thinking about buying some new Kazera KZ-A rims with Kumho ECSTA tires 225/40/18. They will be mounted and balanced already.
Is it easy to remove the TPMS from the stock rims/tires? I've never done this before. (Anyone got a link on how to remove them?)
Thanks.

Since this long dormant thread was revived:
I have a thread about my whole situation a year ago when I went through it. What my issue amounted to was that the actual rim pass through hole was a little larger than stock and the stock gromment(on the TPMS) wouldn't seal up tight enough and I would slowly lose pressure. If I drove like a bat outta hell, it would leak faster.
I finally figured out what to do after much trial and error. So, I took grommets(others have used #5 o-rings) and with the TPMS in place, take off the cap(obviously not the end cap) and work the grommet/o-ring down over the valve stem, over the cap threads and down as far as I could into the rim hole(which had a lip about midway through). Then put the cap back on and tightened it down. So essentially I have the normal gasket sealing from the inside of the lip in the rim hole and the new gasket sealing from the lip hole in the rim to the outside.

So.............the HP Racing EVO Lightnings will work, but you better do some additional work.
Also..............there is a new TPMS gasket now(newer than 05's might have it?) that looks a little better and is larger. It can be seen in my thread as well. I go find it and post it here.
Here's the short thread and it shows what I did and photos of both styles of grommets on the TPMS's if anyone needs it and or is interested.

motegi tracklite 2
Will the motegi tracklite 2s 17x8 fit the 6 speed, and can I use the sensors in the original wheels or will I have to buy new ones for the change in size?
