rolling fender or stiffer suspension???

I got from axis 275 (in the rear) that cause some rubbing on the itrees when i hit bumps and oither things on the road. I was told that one of the ways to avoid the problem is to roll the fender. another way is to get a stiffer suspension for the car ...... the question is if anyone else had that problem and which would be better.

Going to a stiffer suspension is a band aid solution. If your tires rub, going to a stiffer suspension won't cure rubbing as there will always be instances when you're into the bumpstops. It might decrease the frequency of rubbing, but the problem will still be there.

^+1 on that.
Assuming you are 295........you need to roll the fenders.

I'm 255 wide in the back right now on 18 x 9.0 and I have some minor rubbing with my 1/2 inch lowering on RB springs but it's so minor I haven't had to do anything.....YET. A lot will depend on your offset........mine is a little strange at +38mm.
I can see how you would rub at 275(offset depending) and I think rolling is still your best option.

the most important thing is offset.
i assume your offset isn't so low that rolling will alleviate the problem. if so, roll it, and have the tab where the bumper bolts up to the fender either flared or shaved.

You don't necessarily have to roll the fender from well to well. I just need to roll a 9" lip center top outwards. I'm on rear 18x9.5 +35 with 275/35/18. on Tein S-Techs.....Depends on your offset, tires and drop.

I just drank bleach.

Here is a DIY on rolling the fenders. http://www.mazda6tech.com/index.php?...id=17&Itemid=1

Hmmm heat gun to help minimize cracking of the paint. Would that actually help that much?
