Ok, I don't have an RX8, I've got a 240sx and looking for a Helical LSD. It looks like the lowest cost way might be to use something from an RX8/RX7/Miata. The 240sx uses an R200 differential with 29spline (I believe). Does anyone have the specs/dimensions of the RX8 Torsen?

 

It's the same dimensionally as the FD3 RX-7TT i.e. 100% interchangeable if that helps

So, are the only Mazdas that came with a torsen are Miatas, or are there others?

I read somewhere though that RX8s did come with a form of worm gear torsen LSD. I'm not saying you are incorrect, I don't really know much about mazdas, except for the fact that the FDS3 was and still is one of my favorate cars (just wish it wasn't so expensive for a 17 year old car)

 

it has a torque sensing LSD made by Tochigi Fuji, different concept than the Torsen
