I used them on a previous car (not an RX8) and wasn't impressed with them. Lots of noise, rusty dust, and didn't have a very high temp range. You can get better pads for less, ie Axxis Ultimates, Racing Brake, Hawk HP+, among others.

Which models of pads? I've been running their GranSport GS3 series on my track RX7 for several years and been very happy with them. Tried them on the recommendation of a respected Canadian race shop at the time that did Hawk and a few other brands.
Good bite from cold, have had no traces of fade, plenty of power (on one downhill late braking banzai move a witness actually saw daylight under my rear wheels) and they have lasted very well. But, these the track compound, on race FC on slicks, so your results may very. Dust like mad, but I would expect a race pad to do so. Upside is, the dust washes off fine and doesn't seem very corrosive. (I tend not to wash the race car as much as I should.)
Also got a set of their GS5 pads for the street driven MazdaSpeed Protege. Not too dusty, good bite from cold, held up to some light track duty (girlfriend did a school in it) and have gotten several seasons out of them now. I haven't noticed all that much dust on the wheels, and the Silver wheels on the MSP tend to show it. I prefer the feel of the Carbotech's on my 8 to the GS5s on her car, but, that could just be differences in their respective braking systems.
A local guy was tracking a modified Bonneville SSEI (don't ask, but that aircraft carrier did hustle in a straight line) and he couldn't keep pads in it. Would destroy a set of Hawks and get fade in a couple of sessions. He tried a few other reasonably priced pads, and then gave the GS3s a shot after my luck on the RX7. He couldn't get them to fade and was happy with the feel.

We stock Racing Brake and Hawk pads.
Having used the Et900's at my last event I fell in love with them. Customers rave about the 500's and 800's and we have them all in stock.
I even have some hawk HT-10's in stock as well.
Anyone that needs help getting a pad suited for their needs I would be glad to help just PM me.
