Mazda RX-8 Rear Shocks (1) Each

Part Number Price Year QTY

QSEA-28-700 $104.40 2007200620052004

Mazda RX-8 Rear Shocks (1) Each

Figure $100 for the part, another $100 for labor. That's how they're arriving at $200 I guess.

if you are paying the labor, consider spending a little extra on an upgrade. A set of Koni's will run you about $650 shipped, Tokico D-spec around $600 shipped. Even on stock springs, they offer a huge improvement in handling, and you stay in SCCA stock class if that matters to you.

Dude, Sears floor jack & jack stands, $55.00
Get the shocks listed by SouthFL above and do it yourself. Save yourself a ton of money.

They quoted me about $200 for the shock only, labor not included. The trussville mazda website, do they sell the same original shock or a replacement? Thanks everyone again for your support!!

Those aren't shocks.

They are coilovers. Thats why they are so expensive.

The part number and price is the shock (damper).
Further research at the Rosenthal Mazda site shows the QSEA-28-700 Part Number to be that of the Mazdaspeed replacement shock, yet the Trussville Mazda site mentions nothing of it being an MS part

The coilovers are much more expensive.

Either way, the price quote he's getting is way too high.
