Shopping for tires

I know tere are some post on here on tires, but they seem a bit out of date.

I'm just currious what your favorite tires are because i'm looking for another set.

I run a 245 40 18 all around.

Thinking all season as i only have the one set of wheels and drive my car year round. averaging 20k miles a year.

Right now i have toyo proxy 4's. they were ok. but broke down fast.

If you go with all season tires, Continental ExtremeContact DWS is a pretty good choice.

^What he said. DWS are good for all season but won't be very much fun to drive on.

The Hankook Ventus V12s have been good to me so far. I have other vehicles to drive when it snows but they have worked out well in the cold and wet.

They are certainly not good for racing but as far as street tires go, they work just fine - especially considering that they can be used even in light snow.
For "fun", you'd not want all season tires anyway.

I ended up going with the Michellin Pilot super sports. got them for 230 mounted per tire. Thank you discount tire. with that and an alignment i'm a happy camper.

Not the all seasons you were thinking about I think you will really like them a lot. You should get at least 20k miles out of them, and the grip on the street is really good. As long as you don't have to drive in the mountains, you're good all winter. Just park it for the two days it snows

these tires rock. I put them through the paces over the weekend out on highbridge. i've never taken that road so fast and that was at below 50 temps. as well as had a damp run on the merver loop, I DIDN"T EVEN BREAK LOOSE ONCE. and i was going at a good place.

Im stocked. I'd for sure recommend these tires to anyone.
