Why have I never seen an RX8 with the "16-inch aluminum alloy wheels with locks" that are stock.

 

i think its brake clearance. And they are fugly. Who would downsize their brakes, and slap fugly rims on top of that?

 

the old RX-8's that were auto came stock with 16" wheels.

 

the 16" wheels were only stock on the BASE auto trans version, which had smaller brakes and a softer suspension. On any auto RX-8 with an option package (ie above the Base model), and on ALL manual RX-8s, the cars had bigger brakes and firmer suspension. 16" wheels will not fit over the bigger brakes, so 16" wheels won't even fit on 90% of the RX-8s out there (at a guess as to percentage of Base Auto RX-8s at less than 10% of total RX-8 production). Even some 17" wheels can't clear the front brakes!

just get the rota's instead..hahah honda jdm **** hate those with the passion..
