Spare tire pics

Looking for pictures of the spare tire mounted in the trunk. I just got my spare today after my dealer had it back ordered. Does the spare nomally stow parallel to the ground or does it slant downward from front to back? I thought you would be able to stow things under the tire but mine angles downward towards the back of the trunk. Just wanted to know if it was mounted correctly. It's dark out right now & I can't get a clear picture!

It tilts and takes up more room than you would think. Mine will be in the garage soon with the wind deflector off of the sunroof.

Can't give you photos , since USAF has me 8000 miles from home. From your description, it sounds like yours is screwed up. The tire should tilt upward toward the rear, leaving an angled space accessible below it and a small space (four inches or so) above it.

It should angle downward towards the front of the vehicle. The install kit comes with a rubber spacer that is meant to be placed at the bottom of the top edge of the trunk for the tire to rest against. I will have pictures shortly.

EDIT: pictures attached.
You CAN get stuff in the trunk underneath the tire... just not very much.
