Got my RB springs in the mail the other day. The instructions call for "grinding/cutting" the bump stops on the shocks down to a new size before installing the new springs. Anybody have any experience/tips for this? I really want to do this install myself. Thanks.

damn i just threw mine away (left over parts)
yeah cut down about 3inches on them i believe.

I had to trim the bumpstops for my Tein install. I tried a razor Knife and it was hell trying to cut the thing then I got this ides to try one of my wifes very sharp butcher knives and it cut it clean one slice on her cutting block.

Did you get the s-tech and how is the ride (like stock, little stiff,real stiff, or go-kart stiff)?
I'm thinking about getting them. Thanks for the info.

Got the H Tech and the drop is perfect for me the front will just barely clear a 6 inch curb. Any lower and it would be to low for me. The ride is like stock just a bit firmer over larger bumps. Handling is very good less body roll and the steering feels quicker yet responsive.Will be posting a writeup with pics soon.

Do you have to do cutting for all types of springs?

After doing research and talking to people, if installing lowering springs, it's best to cut the bump stop...if you don't, the shock won't have as much travel as it is supposed to...the racing beat springs included instructions on how much of the bump stop to cut down...don't know about other companies' springs...
