Squeeky brakes
#4
Its easy, here are the solutions:
solution 1, if u have a 16" or 18" wheel, put grease on the back of the brake pads. and
put them back in.
solution 2, if you are using 18" there might be another possibility, it might be due to
rusty brake rotor. take out your wheels, sand the back of the rims (the
contact point between the rims and the brake rotor), with very very thin sand.
grease them before u put those wheels back.

I dont know any1 who hasnt had squeeky brakes with the RX8...
OK dont flame me but this is what I know - the squeeking can be caused by dust on the pads. now to get rid of the dust, brake hard few times and sqeeling temporarily stops... lol dont know about elsewhere, but here in Aust they replace the pads with what they call "modified" brake pads which supposibly we dont then have the sqeeling. i had mine replaced and i must admit its helped a lot. i probably hear the squeeling very very rarely as oppose to everytime before.

lol....I post this everytime I see one of these threads but I dont think no one either notice's it or believes me.
After replacing my pads within 3,000miles I believe is has to do with the shim breaking off the back of the pad, in which cause the only true and permanent fix would be to replace the pads. I replaced mine with Hawk HPS and have had ZERO squeal since.
