My vendor never said anything about paying more for a faster shipping option.

I just pray this doesn't happen to me.

Ok, they arrived in the US on Friday, now they are in customs... They should clear customs by the end of the week and be delivered to the vendor... Then they go to me via UPS ground, so I should have them by the 15th...

Cortc & whomever, Check these out. They are not SSR but look awfully darn close to what you are getting. Not nearly as expensive from what I can tell. Decent wheel? I think they look great. Speed Star Professional SP1.

I just tried the link to make sure it would work but it states that the session has expired. Sorry guys and gals. Just take a look at them when you get the opportunity. There are three colors to choose from; black, hyper black and silver. Let me know your thoughts.

That's the problem with importing parts ... aside from the monetary aspect (customs and VAT are 20% on top of the part price here in Germany), it takes time. Hope to see the pics posted soon!

Since this thread has made me extremely nervous about the prospects of getting my SSR Professor's in a timely manner, I contacted my vendor to see what the status was. I received a very prompt email indicating that they had a packing list for a container that was in route from Japan, and my wheels are on it!

I was told to expect the wheels in early to mid December. If they get here by mid December, it would be a nine week turn around from the day the order was placed to receiving them.

Whether this actually happens is a different story, but I am staying positive.....

Has the car actually been sitting on jackstands since August waiting for these or did you find a "temporary" solution?

Takes some patience to wait 9 weeks for rims, I'll say.

Patience is a virtue, and he should get a virtue patch from the local boyscout troop....

I could not wait that long, I went ahead and purchased fikse instead.
