Stance

Stance
I like the RX-8's stance right now, but I think I wanna change it a bit. I've read up about Tein Lowering Springs, but I still don't know which ones I should get. I don't exactly understand the difference between the Racing Beat ones and the Tein ones. A lot of people told me to go with Tein because they have Tein. Does anyone have any input on changing the 8's stance? I'm also on a tight budget, so the Teins have a really appealing price.

You'd get much better response in the "wheels, tires, brakes, and SUSPENSION" forum but the difference between the Tein and RB are that the RB barely drop it at all. They keep almost the exact same feel but I think drop it an inch.
Tein drop it about a half inch more and you gain a firmer ride with a tad more bounce. The Tein drop is still very small. I was expecting more.

i have the tien s techs installed and have had no problems so far. The ride is not much more harsh. I can only feel the difference in harshness on really rough roads. The drop is about 1 inch, which IMO looks great. Also I got a great price on the tiens for about 199 with shipping/handling/tax incuded.
Also, just in case you dont know, their are two kinds of tein springs.
Htechs, which lower the car about .5 of an inch (similar to RB springs) and do not affect the bumpiness/harshness of your 8's ride.
and Stech (the ones I have) which lower it approx. 1-1.5 inches and make the ride a bit more harsh.
hope that helped.
