^ i just went out to home depot and got pb blaster...
give it a few taps after i spray it again in 15min?
thanks paimon, i checked right as i was buying something else and you said pb blaster, went back and picked up the can... only $4.97.

well i certainly did poop on this thread... sorry...
Pb blaster didnt work... the bolt is on there good...
Ill let the mechanic charge me a flat rate for my alignment and then have fun with that bolt.. it was on there so good it bent my wrench, and broke one of my socket wrenches.. i was going to use a breaker bar with 2 more wrenches as a torque multiplier, but my friend told me to just stop ******* with it and remove the axle.
sooo im going to have to detach my axle tomorrow.. Thank god that i didnt have to adjust the ride height when i bought these coilovers used... i cant even imagine how much cursing i would do if i found out i had to remove the assemblies AGAIN.

Why are you messing with your camber bolts to put the rear strut on?
17mm for both rear control arms, that will let it drop down as much as you need.
You can also take a 14mm to the sway bar endlink and then it will drop even more.
3 bolts underneath and 3 bolts that holds the top mount in is all you need to do...

i had to muscle it out violently..
coilovers are on though! ride feels slightly stiffer than my bilsteins.. although i was just cruising and it was raining...

Bump.
Okay so this past weekend I uninstalled a set of Powertrix coilovers for the second time. Both sets had the same exact bushing issues that is common with the Stance coilovers. Both sets had less than 10,000 miles on them and no track time and both cars were from Texas and saw no snow, etc. Both sets had significant bushing damage to the point that they should be replaced.
This pic is from the first set I uninstalled, all of the shocks had similar bushing damage. The second set I uninstalled had quite a bit more damage to the point where the bushing actually started to push out. I forgot to snap some pics but it was pretty bad.

I am not sure if Powertrix will handle it as well as Stance but I suggest you guys check your setups if you have Powertrix coilovers and get it addressed, this could be a serious issue if left unaddressed.

Oh it will happen, I actually have another buddy who just removed his because he sold his RX-8 and I just asked him to look and they seem to have the same exact issue. I will try and get pics of all three sets soon. But that is three out of three just here locally.

Good work Charles!
Unfortunately we had found out by use that on one of our last production runs, we had some lower rear mount bushings that were not molded to our standards. This caused premature wear and cracking of the bushings.
This bushing defect has already been addressed and the correct durometer/quality of the bushings will be in place on all incoming coilovers for this group buy and all future production runs.
Further, we will be replacing any and all past customers that do have these defective bushings and have already proactively sent notice to our previous customers to check so we can replace them accordingly.

Thanks for updating the thread. Also just in case we missed anyone via our email list, Please feel free to contact us directly by phone, PM, or email if your Powertrix coilovers need the replacement bushings. This should be an isolated incident with in our last couple of production runs and we are currently manufacturing the new bushings with a targeted completion time of approximately mid September and will be sending out complete replacements to eliminate any down time.

So I just got done crawling under my car to inspect my rear mounts. 9k, all I can say is that your picture paints a mild condition compared to the state mine are in.
Not happy. The realization that I have to redo easily a grand worth of prior work is not sitting well at all with me... and in the meantime I'm sitting on a death trap.

Yeah the ones in the picture are mild compared to the other set I recently pulled. The last set I pulled actually had the rubber surrounding the bushing protruding. Think what will happen when that rubber deteriorates completely.

If they do it the way Stance did, you will get the whole lower screw on piece with the bushing already installed. Replacing them is stupid simple.

Mid message, my house phone rang and caller id announced a call coming in from San Diego, CA.
Charles reached out to me directly in response to my email and indicated that all replacements will include the entire lower section.
We talked a bit about alignment and such and unless I come back with some really crazy numbers afterwards it sounds like it shouldn't be a problem.
It's not every day you a get a call from a parts manufacturer. That was very nice of him.

Well that is good, Stance handled my situation very well so I really can't complain but it still sucks, especially for those who can't or don't do there own work. A shop would charge a couple hundred to replace those.
I am excited to get mine off and get SARX built coilovers on it.
