Need help picking summer tire

I'm looking to replace the tire currently on my set of summer rims. Right now they are 245/45/18 BFGoodrich g-force T/A KDW. While they may be a cool looking tire, they are fairly worn, and warped/feathered pretty badly causing them to be extremely noisy.

I'm not really sure what to shop for in a tire to be honest. I want look for aggressive tread patterns and a cool looking tire, but I'm sure theres more to it than that. Enlighten me

Can anybody recommend a set? I've been looking at the BFGoodrich Sport Comp 2, Yokohama S-Drive, and Hankook Ventus V12...

Both are good options based on what I have read also. No personal experience though. More info might help. Are you looking to track the tires at all? (auto x,etc) Whats you price range? How important is tread life vs. grip?

Nothing serious, just enjoy having a nice tire. I ended up getting a set of s drive, and so far they seem very nice

I have a lot of experience with the BFG SC-2s. I DD and Auto-x'ed with them on my Mustang. I know friends who run them on Volkwagon GTI, speed3, WRX (STI and reg). All report excellent handling in their various sizes and good life. I plan on getting them for my 8 as soon as the tires it came with wear out.

From personal experience, the grip is extremely good. I can't give direct comparison to the other two mentioned, but I know the guy with the speed3 prefers the BFG over the v12's for DD. As for life, I have 20000 Miles + 6 autocrosses on the mustang and they are almost dead, but have some life left. It should be mentioned that I can destroy tires though. My driving style combined with the quality of roads I drive on makes for a quick tire death. I wore out some 800 treadwear tires in 30000 mi. I say this so you know that I expect my mileage to be the low end. The guy with the Subaru uses them exclusively for DD and has 15k + on them with more than half life.

Less important for DD, but in case anyone else is looking. The track feel on these tires is excellent as long as you arent comparing to a track tire (rivals, RS3's etc.) They break away very smoothly which allows you to easily find the bleeding edge without going for a nice spin.

TLDR: I have not had anyone complain about the BFG SC2. They provide excellent grip and very good life for a 340 treadwear.
