Suspension Suggestion?

To all those out there more knowledgeable than myself, I could really use some opinions here. I have spent the better part of the morning searching and reading but there are so many mixed opinions out there that it just confuses me in the end. Tomorrow, Sept. 26 is my birthday so I have purchased myself (and my 8) a couple birthday presents. One of which was a set of 5zigen Hyper 5zr 18x7.5 rims. After the purchase, I sat down and was a little concerned with the overall looks. ...Getting to the point, I think I need to get some springs or something to lower my car to improve the appearance and remove the unsightly gap. This car is a daily driver so I dont want to feel like im in a Jeep Wrangler barreling through the wilderness everytime I go out in my car. What would be the suggestion amongst the masses for lowering my car, without losing the smooth ride?

I've personally been happy with the RB suspension kit (springs & sways). Judging from some of the other threads around here, there are Tein, Tanabe and Eibach sets which should have similar stiffness but different drops. The RB kit is a 1/2" drop, which still left a bit of a gap until I went up to 235/40 tires from the stock 225/40's; I'm not sure what the widest tire that'll fit on a 7.5" rim is, though (if memory serves, the stock rims are 8" wide).
