Swap 6 month old tires to new winter tires?
Hi guys, I just want to hear your opinion about my situation.
I have Hankook Ventus V12 Evo tires which is about 6 months old only.
I have drove an all wheel drive jeep when I was in the army
but I am not sure how's the winter driving with a rear wheel drive is going to be.
I am on a tight budget (college student), but because I know that safety comes first,
I could buy sets of winter tires if I really need to.
What do you guys think about my situation? I know the Hankook Ventus V12 is an all-
season and pretty decent tire (according to my impression and other's thoughts), but
is it going to be a MUCH difference between my Hankook and Bridgestone Blizzak?
Thanks for reading my post

dont know where you live but if you plan on driving thru snow snow tires would be a good idea. if you read what the all season says about it self it will most likly say some to the effect of "designed for driving in cold and wet road", were as a snow and ice tire is designed for snow and ice. if you live somewhere where the roads are pretty clean most of the time the all season are probably fine.
ps i have blizzaks for my 8 and they are great. the 8 is the only car i have ever driven that i put snow tires on the rest of the cars i own/owned just use all seasons.
edit: just saw you put the MI in title guess that you probably want to go with the snow tires.

not really, just a quick look the speed and weight ratings are different and i found this
"The LM-60 is the latest iteration of Bridgestone's H- and V-rated winter tires, ... ( The Multicell compound used in the WS70 is not suitable for H-rated tires.)"

The wintersport m3s are outstanding tires too..Ive driven through 6-10 inches without any issues. Ive tried the all season tires, and have had HORRIBLE luck. Some guys here say they drive in snow with all seasons with no problem, but I always slid all over the place. Definitely do yourself a favor and get some snow tires for this car, Ive driven a lot of rear wheel drive cars in the snow, and this is by far the scariest.
