Sways or springs first?

If I can only afford to do one mod, which will be more beneficial to handling? Sways or springs? As far as springs go, I don't want much drop, so I'm thinking H-techs. I've done the drop thing before in previous cars and I'm sick of worrying about scraping/bottoming out.

What are you feeling when you are taking the corners? Does the car feel floaty? Did you want your turn-in to be crisper?

Most people probably would feel sways better because it reduces the body roll and improves your turn-in. However, since sway bars tie your left and right sides together, heavy turning can lift your inside wheel.

Springs will reduce body leaning in corners, but can cost ride quality. Might not be much depending on your spring/shock setup, but it will since aftermarket springs are stiffer than stock.

I would say the sway bars first.

When I got my JIC FLT-TAR coilovers, they were a HUGE improvement over stock, but at a price of $1700+.

When I got my Progress Technology sway bar set w/ AP endlinks, they were also a HUGE improvement over the stock pieces. But this time.....the cost was only $300+.

If you want to FEEL the improvement right away, then go with the sway bars. If I had to do it all over again, I would've went that route.

Thanks, that's just what I needed to know.

I don't feel "floaty" through corners at all, just a bit of body lean that I'd like to eliminate.

So I'll probably go with sways first. Don't know if I'll spring for adjustable or not, as I don't track the car and would probably drive myself nuts trying to figure out the right setting anyway.

Springs help for weight shift under hevy braking and acceleration.

You don't need those.

Sway bars are for lateral shift which you can feel every day if you drive it hard.
