symptoms of bad bump stops?
back story: my car developed a clunking in the front. it has 93K on the original shocks. two (stealership) mechanics have indicated to me that it's probably the lower control arm ball joint. Unfortunately, they differ on which LCA ball joint is bad. So, in addition to purchasing a set of koni sports, I bought two lower control arms.
question: what are the symptoms of bad bump stops? could it just be the bump stops causing the sound of clicking/clunking under braking? I'm waiting for new bump stops to arrive to finish my install.
also, my lower control arm bushings and the ball joint look good and don't feel worn (still soft). I'm thinking of selling the lower control arms, given that it doesn't seem like my car needs them.
Thanks for the looks!

Agreed, unless the he put on lowering springs without shortening the stops. Hitting the stops in any case should not cause a clunk, something else is doing that. Most agree the stock shocks are often gone in 30k-40k miles, so 100k on the originals is way past time for replacement.

I HATE SPEEDBUMPS!
Ha ha! Do you think that's bad, my bump stops was cut in half when i lowered the car to lessen the bounce of the ride. Anyway, just cut your bump stops in half and you'll be okay, lol jk.
