Tanabe Sustec Pro S-OC
Does anyone have any experience with this coilover setup? I know that the shock is not adjustable, but they are still adjustable for ride height and are constructed with a dual spring set up. A set of these costs the same as Tokico D-Spec Shocks with Tanabe GF springs so I am interested in gaining info on the coilovers since there has been plenty said about the D-Specs and GFs.
Thanks

tanabe is better then JIC MAGIC and TEINS BASIC and FLEX...JIC MAGIC and TEINS basic/flex is one of the stiff *** coilovers.. tanabe is one of the best for me b/c they feel stock (not stiff) and have the great adjustable high that i want so yeah there u have it....

Is this offer still good? I was thinking of spending my tax return on a set. After reading for a couple of days now about springs and struts, it seems i would actually save money by getting the Sustec Pro s-oc over a set of Koni's and Tanabe GF-210's.

tanabe is garbage.

I want a more stock feeling suspension than a harder one so i think Tanabe is a good way to go.
EDIT:
Correction, I called up a local shop to see if he could get the tanabe's in and he said they don't have any in the US so they would have to order them from Japan and it would take 60 days to get in...Not sure if i can wait that long!

No point in posting if you have no evidence to back it up..
Stop padding your post count and make one good contribution to the conversation.
I am also very interested in hearing what people think about these coilovers... and I hate seeing worthless posts.

The only good thing is they are $700, which makes them the cheapest coilover around.
Why do they suck?
-you can't go low
-rides like crap
-makes em handle worse than stock
I've bad tanabe experience with a friends TC.

^ with that point you can't say kw is bad just based on one person's failed shock.
On a slightly more helpful note, how much $$ do you have to invest in suspension and what will you be using the car for? I don't think you've mentioned this (unless I missed it). This way we can give more productive posts.

I am not going to lie. I was looking into tanabe springs and a good shock but it was going to cost more than the coilovers. I do not race my car at the strip or auto X, the only thing i do is rip it up and down the mountain passes here in Colorado... With that said i am getting my tax return back and i needed new tires for the car. I was thinking it would be better to get the car where i want it (lower i.e. springs or whatever) before getting new rubber. I think i am looking at about $1000.00 to spend on the suspesion in this area before i get the new tires. Thank you for all the information and help.
