AU Tein H.Techs with Bilstein shocks

I've done a fair bit of research on Rx8club and can't quite get the answer myself so I'm posting it as a question. Even though my car is a I have a series 2, I post it here because there should be no difference

The only thing I've done is to add new wheels. They are 18x8.5 +35 offset (....the significant part being that they are effectively flush with exterior of the car...). Now I would like to lower it in the future but I only want a subtle drop and my research has led me to the Tein H.Techs. Because the fender lip is above the rim of my tyre, I need to be really careful, that's my main concern. I think it would also be wise to change shocks at the same time. I've had Bilsteins in the past and thought they were pretty good, not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Now the Bilstein B6 (HD) normally goes with stock springs NOT lowered springs. So my questions are twofold:

1. Would Bilstein B6 (HD) be a good fit with the Tein springs....... or is there a mismatch in application due to lowered springs and normal height shocks...
2. More importantly, will the combo leave a gap at least that the fender lip wont hit the wheels?

FWIW, all im trying to do is lower the car enough to reduce some wheel gap AND retain comfort as much as is possible. i don't track the car nor hammer it really that much.

This is my car having Tein H-Tech / Bilstein Sport (B6)

1. The B6/H-TECH combination is one of the best you can do. Actually with B6 you can lower max -3cm. As a result, there is no problem with H-TECH. If you want to lower MORE than -3cm you have to go to B8 sprint shocks
2. If you are referring to the rear axle you will have a lot of space/gap between fender lip and wheels. Check my rear wheel that has bigger gap than the front wheel.

Tein H-Tech / Bilstein Sport (B6) I guess suites perfectly your needs.

Thx Rotarypilot, this helps heaps..

... do you have other photos of your car?? maybe close-ups of the wheels gaps etc...anything would help.

also, have you reviewed or made comments anywhere on here about your impressions of the combo?
