I called so many shop and they're quoting me 400+ for the installation of my sprnigs. I need the instruction on how to install it pls help me!!!!

1) Jack up car
2) Place jack stands underneath
3) Pep Boys, AutoZone, etc will usually let you borrow or rent a spring compressor.
4) Compress spring
5) unbolt strut, remove from perch
6) remove spring
7) might not need to compress the shorter springs but i believe you will
8) Re-install in the reverse you removed them...

Be careful with the spring compression.. You could seriously hurt or kill yourself if you aren't careful.

yeh..it's kinda like a wine or champagne cork...point away from yourself and others...

i mean you can do it the really crazy cheap redneck way and use your floor jack to compress the control arm and when you unbolt the strut just slowly release the floor jack until it's out...

Where are you located? If you find a basic suspension or a tuning shop you should be able to have it done for $200 or less.

oooh DC. I work there occasionally, don't know any shops though. Is there an area where there are just a bunch of car shops? Like a suspension place next to NTB next to a tuning shop next to tint place next to an audio place?

If there is, go there and ask around.

NTB is good -- make sure you get an alignment. If you do it there, they will do unlimited alignments for a year, 3 years, or 5 years depending on the plan you get. It's a good deal. Have the alignment done, let the springs settle and come back for another free alignment.

there isn't any sense at all in getting an alignment right after putting the springs on...let them settle first then get your alignment done...

My dad's an auto mechanic, but I don't know crap because I never liked helping him. However, my close friend whose dad is also a mechanic, has all the tools needed for the job. I think he will do it for you for less than $300. I live in MD as well in baltimore. Let me know if you are interested.

oh I got it done for 200 but I dont know if i should get it align or wait til the springs to settle down

the bushings will settle a bit over the next week or so. then get the alignment. unless the camber is extreme enough to see it, thats not an issue. the important one is the toe setting, which is easy to do yourself.
