Tein S Springs Installed wrong?

Hey guys, ive been having alot of work done to my car and one thing I couldnt do is install the Tein S spring myself. I brought it to a shop and I think they may have done it wrong!

The drop is supposed to be 1.4 in the front and .8 in the back but to me it doesnt look like the front dropped at all and the back dropped way to much.
The mechanic assured me that the way he installed them was the only possible way to do it.

I am attaching a couple pictures from the side of the car and the actual spring itself.

Ooooh also I havent had alot of time to drive around with the new springs but I think I am hearing a knock sound every once and awhile when i turn. Any ideas on that?

Those front upper bushings sure look like they were tightened at full droop. Search "preloading".

The rear looks about right, the front looks a little high. Again...preload the front.

The front is no where near where it should be. Again, search pre-load as stated before. The springs themselves may have been installed correctly but without pre-loading they wont sit correctly. The rear also doesnt look quite right either.

source: I have S-techs.

Ya thanks i saw some posts about prelaoding but never looked into it. I asked for a little more info on the preloading on another post because they are kinda vague.
They just say loosen control arm bolt it doesnt say one or both, ride around and retighten.
