I covered the light. So I at least do not have that staring at me. And just a little note. People said that the car had to be driving before the TPMS light would come on and soon as I put the wheels on without moving the car it noticed that no TPMS sensors were in the wheels and I got the light.

I just finished the install on my Tein S-tech spings this morning. So far after setting the car down then tightening up the upper control arm bolts, I have an 4.25" gap between the wheel well lip and the top of the rim on all 4 wheels!

Hey leegina,

Did you attempt to re-install the tpms valve stems or just eliminate them altogether? I went for the re-install (after much deliberation and MikeB's experiences) and to date (1 wk) have yet to get the light...knock on wood. My understanding is that even aftermarket tpms valve stems can be purchased and installed into the new wheels/tires to eliminate this inconvienence.

XcelR8 check your pm. SDFLY I did not want all the weights added to the wheels and they came already mounted and balanced so I did not want to take a chance on messing up the rims. The tape works wonders you cannot see it really at all.

But don't you get a bouncy effect if you just replace the spring and not the shocks itself. Since the shocks are designed for the orginal shocks, using aftermarket shocks will overwork the shocks and your car will have a bouncy effect in about three months. This is what I read from other threads in this forum. Just a heads up to potential buyers, cause I wanted to lower my car too!

You will wear out your shocks sooner but not 3 months unless you seriously overwork them. I would guess they would go out closer to 2 years or maybe even longer. I have had alot of cars lowered with just springs and factory shocks/struts and within 2 years never felt that they were going bad. But ideally you would want to upgrade your shocks if you were to replace the springs but I felt money could be spent elsewhere because I have never encountered a problem.

I guess its differnet for different cars then. I have a friend of mine that owns an A4 Audi.. actualyl two of them. They modded them liek crazy, just for looks, and they car were extremely bouncy.... they looked kinda funny when they go over speed bumps...
jsut my friends experience, that;s why I held my horses when I wanted to change springs. Maybe you are right leegina, maybe not, just to add to the forum =)

They look nice man, but that's about the biggest size i think you should go. 275 in da back, damn, this is all show no go man.

Lucino, You know I thought the same thing when I was ordering them but honestly I cannot feel a difference. I think one of the reasons I cannot really feel that much of a difference is because the tire is a little shorter and I mean a little but it would affect the gearing just slightly and I think it offset the weight of the wheels a bit. I really cannot feel that it is sluggish at all. But I would have to agree with you it was more for show than go!!!

add a body kit to the 19s and tein springs and yu would have a hot car. i dont see the difference in the teins though.

few questions for you. did you mess with the camber at all when you installe dthe teins or just alignment? i ordered the tein s's. that is why I ask. secondly did you realize it was gonna look so kick *** when you did the install? it looks awesome! the gap in the front and the back are perfect, please fill m ein as to what you did with the drop and the difference you hav ehad after th e 200 miles.

Thanks rx8miami, I did a full alignment with camber,caster etc. pretty aggressive alignment I might say also. It rides nice and I was praying for it to look the way it did. It has settled a bit but not much. I love the teins and would only trade them for coilovers to get a little lower or spings that did the same effect but lowered it more. To me at certain angles it is hard to tell it is lowered. Thanks
