My new wheels/tires...plus my new stainless steel brake lines, but you can't see those

True, the pictures suck ***, cuz my camera sucks ***...I would buy a new one, but, well, the wheels weren't cheap. :D As for the handling with the new braces, I haven't really had a chance to wring it out yet; I've been driving around with my front sway bar disconnected due to a broken end link, and I just got the replacement put on Thursday (after the braces were put on), and my car was at the shop yesterday and today having the wheels mounted and balanced and the brake lines put in...so, updates to come on that...I'll tell you this much, though: it feels tons better with the sway bar reconnected...

I bought my brake lines through Mazda MotorSports...the brand name of the lines is Goodridge, and they are the same lines that will be available through Tire Rack sometime in October I think (you'd have to check their site)...to fit the engine cover over the front brace, you have to do a little cutting on the cover...they show you in the intructions where to cut and how far, and provide some new foam to protect the brace from the cover...I just haven't done it yet...I'll try to get some better pics, but that's about the best quality I can get out of my camera...

Sweeeet SSR's!!!!!! Your car is beautiful, with the upgraded wheels, and I suppose, suspension. I love that offset, which really brings those wheels out to the wheel lip, the way they're intended to fill the wheel well to the fender. If I could afford, I'd buy new wheels, but I'm just putting spacers in the back for now :D

The front and rear strut are both very large pains in the *** to install. Not complicated in theory (even though the instructions are in Japanese, they have good pictures), but fairly tough to do physically. I am a big guy, and installing these things requires getting fingers, nuts, bolts, and wrenches into some pretty small places. So, for me, I'd give them a 2 (on a 1-10 scale) for how hard it should be, and a 6 or 7 for how hard it actually was.

Did you install the brake lines yourself, too? How 'bout some details on bleeding the brakes? The FSM says you only have to bleed the rear-passenger side - did you find that to be true?

I did not do the brakes myself, so I'm afraid I can't help there. As for driving impressions, I'd like to say the car feels stiffer, more noticably from the front brace (I had that one on for a few days before I did the back). I only had the rear brace in for a few days before I dropped my car off at the stereo place to have some custom boxes built in the trunk, and I just now got it back after two and a half weeks because between Hurrican Ivan and the loss of power and what not afterward the guy didn't really have a chance to work on it. I haven't had a chance to do any really aggressive driving lately, and the most recent auto-x's in my area have all been cancelled because of the hurricanes, so I still haven't had a chance to really put them to the test.
