Ok so I checked the PSI in the tires after bringing the rx8 home from the dealer like 3 months ago. It was holding 25 PSI when it says maximum should be 40 PSI.

So seeing this i decided to take it upon myself to raise the PSI to 33 in each tire.

Now the Tire Pressure Light in my car is always on! No matter what I do.

I have set it back to 25 PSI and it was still on after a week riding with them.

So please give me some info on what to do. I seriously dont want to end up going to my dealership just for a damn checkup on the light.

My advice: Check your tires with a different/better tire guage.

I had a similar problem. When it started getting cold here, my TPMS light turned on. So, I checked the pressure, and they were all at a perfect 32. I checked it with a different guage, nad there was a 6 psi discrepency. So, I went and bought a high quality $18 tire guage, and it confirmed that 2 of my tires were 6 psi too low. Filled them up and the light went right out.

Remember, the TPMS sensors do not check pressure until you are going at least 16mph.

had the same problem a few weeks back. always having the TPMS light on in the morning because of the colder weather. finally bought a tire gauge (digital) and found out that tire pressure was 27 psi. Put air on them and not having any problem since. Invest on a good tire gauge, it's woth it.

Also Remember that you should always check your air pressure when the tires are completely cooled down otherwise you are not getting and accurate reading. Tires increase 1 PSI for every 10 degrees of ambient temperature.

Example:
Morning temperature is 50 degree's and you cold air pressure is 32 degrees, by mid day the temperature is around 80 degree's and your tires are at 35 PSI just from the increase in ambient air temperature. if you drive the vehicle and extensively heat the tire the air pressure will increase even more.
