tire pressure light comes on after replaced

ive been searching everywhere and cant find any answer to this. ok here is the story... i curbed my rim and broke the tip of the valve stem, so today i bought the sensor from the dealer for $120 because the valve stem itself isnt replaceable . then i brought it to a shop and replaced the broken one with the new one. after getting the wheel back on my car, the tire pressure light just came on, so i checked the tire pressure and was correct. now i dont know what to do.... before i bought it, i even asked the service guy in mazda if i needed to do any programming to activate it and he said "no." so im wondering if any of you guys know how to solve this problem? thanks

you have to drive it for about 10 min.... and btw, check the pressure again.. the pressure sensors are activated by motion...

There are instructions in your owners manual on how to reset the TPMS sensors. Follow those steps.

So is the TPMS built into the valvestem itself? I was wondering why the car had metal valvestems. My TP light came on last night and stayed on until about 15 minutes into my drive. The dealership set my tire pressures to 25 psi cold all around when I drove it off the lot last week new and I think since it was 60 degrees last night it fell below the threshold and the light turned on and then it turned itself off when the tires warmed up to 28 psi.

i think maybe you should set your psi to a little bit higher cause my light never go on even in cold weathers. mine is at 32-33 warm...
