Please don't make staggered suggestions....especially without knowing what the OP wants. Only good thing about staggered is the "bling" factor.....but to that I say "just put 265's all around".

My apologies... he said "side", not "size".

In that regard the best side is the right side.

Ok first of all most tire manufacturers recommend a minimum wheel width of 9 inches to run 265
Second he's running a staggered wheel setup anyways so yea I would assume he wants staggered tires but how about rather than just saying don't suggest why don't you explain the negative effects of running a staggered setup vs keeping the same.
Third you're not even telling the op the size you're just saying 265 all around so he obviously won't know if you're meaning to say 265/40r18 265/35r18 or what which if he ran either one his overall diameter would be pretty far off. The recommendations I made are to keep overall diameter the same to oe size
All I did was answer the ops question and made a reccomendation. It's all a matter of personal choice. I run a staggered setup for looks on the street and for track a I run a different set of wheels and tires so I already know the effects of staggered vs non and if the op knew that than he wouldn't be asking.

So please don't be a douche and talk when you could have said something a little more educated than sounding like a dick. Have a nice day
