Tire wear

I need some expert help. This is the right front Kumho Ecsta SPT. You will see that the inside edge is completely worn away. In fact, all four tires have similar wear patterns. What do you think? It looks like all four are toed out. Is this possible? Looks like I am certainly in for an alignment.

This was my last seaaon on these anyway, so no loss as far as the tires are concerned. I have my winters on now, but need to get it aligned so I don't wreck them, or the new ones I will put on in the spring.

Thanks for the thoughts.

It's your alignment, no question.

...Unless, of course, when you say "all 4 tires are the same" you mean they're all worn on the left side - in that case you need to stop taking so many hard right turns

Also, in that second picture both sides of the tire look equally bald. Is that just due to the angle it was shot at? If both your sides are wearing down faster than the center treads then that just means they're under-inflated...

I'm assuming your not rotating every 5K. Otherwise you'd have seen it develop and could have had an alignment.

It's not tire rotation if all four of his tires are worn away on the inside, are you lowered? What you have is negative camber, if you are not doing any sort of racing or lapping or autox, you should get an alignment and set it back to stock specs

Thanks for the replies. I'm getting an alignment after lunch.

It's weird though. Everything was ok when I took off the snows in the spring - even wear - all looked ok. Same when I took off the summers last fall. So it's been 7 months (8k, more or less) and now I see this. To be more specific, it is the inside of all tires that is worn.

Sorry the pics aren't the best. If you look at the secoond pic closely, you will see there are still some sipes on the right (outside of the tire), but none on the left (inside).

I'll post back when I find something out.

Inspecting the tires periodically you can see a problem start to develop was my point. Alignment most probable solution. Tires can have defects as well like my gf's BMW. All four did the same thing and it was a defect on some BGridgestone run flats.

Got a 4 wheel alignment done. He didn't give me the sheet, but he said the toe was pretty far out. I suspect the camber as well. It's really hard to tell anything as far as feel with these damn snows on, but I should be good to go.

I had the same wear pattern from a lowered coilover and negative camber of 2 degrees.
