I baught the Toyo Proxes 4 tires in Janurary for my 8. I live in New England and I was caught in a snow storm once. I was able to drive through 6 inches of snow and it was late at night. The rear wheel drive made things interesting but the traction and DSC controls made a huge difference. The tires ok in snow and very well in the rain.

I was recommended to buy those also because it is the only tire that is All-Season in that size and rating. Other people baught snow tires or other tires but there weren't the right size or they needed other rims. I got the Toyo's because of the problem using different rims and the tire monitors.

They have worked very well for me.. I have about 18,000 miles on them now and they show very little wear.

I've heard quite a bit about the Dunlop wintersport m3's (which I just purchased myself). I'll tell you how they do after we get our first snow.

I see "New England" in this and perk up. I'm facing the same decision myself. You say those are All-Season... so you use them all year round? How do they do in the summer?

Yes they are ultra high performace all seasons. They work very well in the summer, I think they handle as well if not better than the oem tires. They also have a really awesome looking tread.

I baught them because I didn't want to have tires in storage or spend the extra money for rims.

www.tirerack.com --- put your car in the search engine and if you can afford it, get what it says. Probably something like 17" Kazera wheels with 225\55 X17 Dunlap M3s - without TPMS probably about $1200 delivered to your door. Can't go wrong.

The new Toyo T1-R.. Awesome tire! I was out on the track all day and I never experienced the tires getting greasy or slick all day long..

I would completely recommend this tire.

245/40/18 on all four.

I just put the Proxes 4 on today actually. So far so good... ran about 5 miles. I personally hated the Dunlops but an early morning blowout caused early replacement at 21000. Hopefully the P4s will be better all around. As far as the winter goes... the Dunlops DON"T go in Ohio winters. I only drove the 8 twice in the snow. I will try it again on the P4s just to see but the 8 is my fair weather car.

On a second note I need one, 225/45/18 Dunlop SP 8090 so I can have a full set of back up tires. Anyone have one I can maybe buy. email me at jrhaus76@yahoo.com

Proxes 4

I end up putting Toyo Proxes 4 225/45R18Z.
This is Toyo newest tire. Took the car for a spin this morning and what an answome ride. Very smooth and nice grip through the curves.

I just finished researching the Khumo ASX, Michelin Sport A/S, Falkens, Conti Extreme Contact, and the Pirellis. I wanted something for year round use, traction, tread life, and price. The Khumos came out on top with a UTQG of 420 the highest of them all and being the cheapest. The Michelins and Pirellis seem to be more of a favorite for some reason based on my research. I, myself have always been the comparative/smart shopper liking the Khumos and Falkens better. Eventhough the Khumos came out on top I purchased the Pirellis on instinct. The Pirellis scored highest on the reviews and ratings across the board in every aspect than the others. I dont completely trust the silica based tires under extreme temps either. Monday I'll have a set of PZero Nero M+S on the 8.
