TPMS installed on winter tires? I dont know
So I got some Kazera KV 17" wheels from TireRack for my winter tires. They called me while they were mounting and balancing the wheels to ask if i wanted to buy the TPMS units, to which I declined. I have ben waiting for my TPMS light to come on on my dash board since I installed the tires this weekend (Saturday). I have driven about 100 miles on the tires, and the light blinked for about 15 minutes on Sunday night, but has made no other appearances. Whats the deal here?
While you are at it, best tire pressure for winter tires? (I know I can find this by searching, so if you feel like yelling at me instead of answering, dont bother)

thats weird... i have some kazera that i bought from tirerack as well. The tire pressure light comes on after 5 minutes of driving.
I would think that 32 psi cold is the best ... just make sure that they are don't get ower than 32 with the temperature changes so check.

The TPMS light will come on. Also the longer you go without them the quicker they will pop on. I just cover mine with a black sticker. As for tire pressure I go with 32 Psi in my 225 / 50 17 Graspic DS-2

thanks for the replies, just making sure its not whacky. at first i thought i got lucky and they installed the TPMS anyway, but the light came on for another 5 mins today. its not bad, so ill probably refrain from the tape as long as possible.

I think 32psi is right for winter tires (same as summer), but realize the owner's manual suggests adding about 4.5 lbs extra. (I believe they say this to ensure your tires will be at 32psi if the temperature suddenly drops dramatically, which can happen in winter.)
