Okay my BFG's are wearing thin so I was looking for some new tires through My uncle (who owns a tire shop) and he mentioned discount sells low mileage used tires and they guarantee they have not been repaired or damaged. So I called and they currently have a set of 4 245/40-18 Falken ZE-912's (not good track tires I know) for $100.00 with 75% tread left. But I was thinking I could get these for daily use and buy track tires through my uncle. I always buy new through him but its kind of a pain because I have to special order them and go pick them up (he primarily sells farm and trailor tires).

What do you think? I figure for $100.00 I could at least get a solid year out of them.

if you can get them mounted pretty cheap then....umm....sure, why not.

I can get them mounted free. I was just surprised because I never thought of the people that go to Discount and those types of places and swap out perfectly good tires for upgrades.

I left behind my stock tires with 50 percent tread left when I had my Falkens put on. No place to store them and didn't feel like dealing with the hassle of trying to sell them.

$100 for a set of any tire is a good deal especially if you get them mounted for free.
