useful powder coat wheel info
FYI...I found a good site for reference if anyone is interested in getting their wheels powder coated.. powder coating info I found this place in Baltimore that'll do it for $50 wheel in black and about $70 for gunmetal. I just got my G Games wheels yesterday and will be painting the spokes.. G Games what color should I have it done in?

Can you do just the spokes?
Are you going to take the wheel apart first? If you do, make sure you get an idea of what torque the fasteners are set at.
A good rule of thumb will be it will take about 20% more torque to take the fasteners off then the torque that you put them back on with.
If you want to try something that I think would be totally pimp, I would get the center spokes done gunmetal and then the outer rim done in white.

the place wont powder coat my wheels as they dont want to take a risk w/the polished lip. plus they would have to do a lot of masking on the wheel as I only wanted the spokes and the hub to be powdercoated black. so now i dont know what to do. i'm thinking about selling and getting the axis crux in black or axis hiros in anthracite instead...

several members have done this, i'm kinda scared to do it myself, especially on the G Game wheels as they're really nice. Also, i assume that simple painting of the wheels w/o powder coating will eventually chip, flake, etc. appreciate the tip, i'll try to get in touch w/the member..

do you guys also know if the amount of times they restrip wheels and dump it in the chemicals, if it will damage the wheel even more and make the wheel more prone to cracking?
apparently they are doing this to my wheels for the 2nd time since the first time the color was too light and not was what was requested...
