Hope you can read it. Feel better? Now, keep your fingers crossed and wait. I don't guarantee the result though...
If the tire still rubbs, you just need some body work inside of the fender. That doesn't affect the appearance if done by good jobber. You see "LI" or "U" section on top of the wheel arch, and make it "V" to get clearance. They did it normaly when they want to put wider rims and tires.

If they can order you the +50, I would suggest it, if not, they will just need to roll your fenders. I didn't like the idea of rolling them though because of all the plastic etc, that sits on the inside of our car, and I didn't want them to cut the plastic (because you cant roll plastic) because it might have exposed the side marker.
The advantage of wider rims is that you can put wider tires. I have stuffed 275 rubber on my 8.5s. It was one tight fit though, and I probably wont use that wide of tires again unless I get all crazy and decide I want to do drag.

I just emailed Mackins Industries and they replied that it should not rub with +38 offset! Ok.... still crossing my fingers
I'm just keeping stock size 225 tires, maybe 235 since there's way more selection than with our 225/45 ratio... Plan to autocross about once a week with them!
thanks for all the info and help guys!!

So I finally get the CE28s with +38 offset and mounted them yesterday. Tried it out on the local mountain road and on the contrary, turn in actually IMPROVED! The on centre feel greatly improved and it felt a LOT more communitive than before! I like to drive my car too and I use the ce28s for autocross as well and so far NO RUBBING at all with stock tires. and all in all, the car DROVE BETTER than before with the stock wheels
So hmm... maybe you had different offsets?

Oh and to the person asking what size tires, it rubbed with both the stock tires, and 245/45/18 Potenza S-03s

I've been thinking of painting the calipers after I got these wheels since it shows itself more now. I was thinking maybe red? What do ppl think? Would red look too "ricer" with the red lug nuts?
Or maybe just subdued glossy black? flat black?
