I have the base model car, i.e. no sports package or anything else. I want to change out the 16 inch wheels and tires (factory) for 18 inch wheels and tires (factory), mainly for looks. Can anyone think of a reason why this would be a bad idea?

 

Tires are more expensive? More road noise from the lower profile tires? Those are the only negatives I can think of.

There is a nick in one rim near the "lip" but nothing major. I pamper my car so I don't even know how it got there???

A "friend" of mine got $850 on Ebay but i'm so lazy i'd rather not mess with that!
