WedsSport TC-005

Hey there.. I was thinking about buying the SSR Competition wheel but am concerned with all the potholes we have here in california so I may go with the WedsSport TC-005.. Yeah.. such a wheel exists.. I hadnt heard of it either.. It's a popular japanese model wheel.

What do you guys think of it? I really like it and it only weights a pound more than the SSR which is very light...

Thankx...

I've been searching all over for the same wheels, but have had no luck finding them in the right size. If you find a retailer, please keep me updated!!

Yeah man... Discout tire Center over in el monte 445 a wheel... I checked around and others are selling them for 495 a wheel....

they are so sweet in person!!!

They had this plastic stand which allowed them to place the wheel directly in front of mine and they are sweet looking....

Thank you sooo much man!!!! Im gonna jump on those as soon as I sell my Le37t's. Out of curiousity, what size are you going with? And do you think wheel options has the 18 x 8.5 available? Lastly, do they really look better in person then the pics?
Thanks in advance

Yeah.. they look way better in person.. that picture really doesnt do them justice..

They really do have a wide assortment of wheels.. He asked me to go down there but I usually dont because they will maybe have 2 or 3 "Sport" looking wheels.. but this guy really did have a wide selection...

Out of all the wheels they had down there I kept on getting drawn back to this one..

I would suggest that you go and check out the wheel and put it up to your car..

You will not be disappointed...

Anyone else heard of these wheels?

I really like them...

What are your opinion about them?

They said I could get them custom painted if I wanted....

They look better on a Silvia, or a Celica (remember the JGTC Wedsport Celica?).

Oh never mind :D. I saw Leg Sports' demo RX-8 (?). It sported the Weds TC-005, or something similar, and it looked pretty good. Sorry if I bashed this wheel .

That is still a little expensive if it doesn't include shipping.

I have seen these for 1580 shipped for 18x9 through a local shop in the USA. pm me if anyone wants to know what shop.

WEDS is having a national wide sale on this wheel and the SA09 in Japan so you should be able to get these for about 1600 or less for 18" in the States.

More pics from that shop. S09A

Hey.. I did call up the company that odave was referring to and they did give me a good price.. but.. there is always one right.... their shipping is crazy.. They do not stock any parts and get everything directly from japan..

thats why their prices are so good.. the only catch.. it will be at least 1 month.. at most 2 months.. before you get your product... I decided to go with Discount Tires as I mentioned above..

Thankx again for the info though....

Hey guys.. Just got back from Discount Tire Center and had them install the WedsSport TC005 with the Toyo T1S 245/40/18 tire..

I'll post pics of it in the multimedia section this weekend after I take some pics...

They look hot!

Can't wait to see them. I've liked these rims since I saw them on Leg Motorsports' car and at Tire KAN.

I'm curious, did you weight the new rims? On the website with wheel weights it says 18x8.5 are 17.9lbs
