Has anyone weighed the difference in drilled rotors and stock?

TIA,

Weights on their other rotors http://www.racingbrake.com/MAZDA_RX8_s/235.htm

Well I cannot open the above links but I do not know if I will find answer to my question:

Does anybody knows what is the weight of OEM Front Rotors and OEM rear Rotors?

I ask because I am interested in some cheap ebay slotted/drilled rotors but I am believe that may be heavier than stock.

Thanks

front, 17lbs
rear, 12lbs

you will not lose enough weigh with drilling to make a difference..

and the weight of any rotor on ebay is a guess..

the project mu two piece rotors i have saved about 1.5 lbs per rotor..

and they were not cheap ebay units..

If your car is only getting autox miles, you can always have them turned down to minimum thickness.

You can also find other places to drill them yourself. Just do so uniformly so you don't affect the balance.

And of course, you are totally responsible for the structural integrity of any parts you modify yourself.

Or you could just go buy some two-piece rotors.

Drilled roors have a tendency to over heat and cause micro fractures.

I would not go drilled.
