What anti-sway bars to choose?

I have asked my Mazda dealer for advice about the Mazdaspeed and Autoexe anti-sway bars but I would like to know what experiences the rest of you have with third party anti-sway bars.

Regards, Magnus

From what I have seen the Mazdaspeed bars have the little collars on them that prevent the bar from horizontally sliding in the mounts. This feature is good to have and is on the OEM bars but almost no aftermarket bars. The reason it is good to keep the bar from doing the tango is the geometries are more consistent and therefore the bar response is more consistent.

Racing Beat sways also have the collar. However I'd suggest that sways are the last part of the suspension equation. Wheels/tires first, shocks/springs second, sway bars are an optional last if required.

I swear I have done this already on another thread with PUR...

but, I disagree. On the RX8 the front sway bar makes a drastic improvement.

First would be Wheels/Tires, then Alignment, then Front/maybe Rear sway, then shocks/springs.

Also Tanabe makes a nice bar too. :D

I have the RB sway bars which I believe a more beefy than the mazdaspeed sway bars and also have OEM syle "stoppers" to prevent the bar from sliding sideways in the bar bushing during hard cornering - paraphrase RB.
I have been satisfied with their performance.

I have the tanabe front and rear and love them.....makes a world of difference. The tanabe's also have the collar as well. The are also much cheaper than the MS bars.

I'm sure they will but they will charge for the install. The sways are easy to pop on and can be done by yourself.

It's deja vu all over again. I do not dispute that a front sway by itself will improve the stock suspension. My point was if you are redoing the entire suspension the sequence I described is generally considered the optimum sequence. Change one thing, figure out its effect and limits, then add the next component to complement the previous ones.
