I'd take a look at the "calling all Nordic green" thread for ideas...

My friend has a Nordic Green that has Black Wheels with silver rims. It looks good. But ... so would Gold wheels with gold rims, in my opinion.

by wheels you mean face and by rim you mean lip? Atleast that is what people usually call those.

I should have said black hub and spokes, with a silver rim. I was implying that all of the wheel was black, except the rim.

I'm sorry, but I've never heard of "face" and "lip" - those aren't parts of a wheel.

Rim and wheel are interchangeable in all things I have read. They both mean the entire thing. It's cool though because other people have it your way http://www.ackerwheels.com/difference.html . We are both right.

Actuallly, the words are not interchangeable. I've heard rappers and ricers use the word rim as slang for wheel, but they don't care what it's called - as long as they get the bling.

"What Is a Wheel and What Is a Rim? Are They the Same Thing?

It may seem obvious, but a wheel is comprised of a hub, spokes and rim. Sometimes these components will be one piece, sometimes two or three. The hub is the center portion of the wheel and is what attaches the wheel to the suspension. The spokes radiate out from the hub and attach to the rim. The rim is the outer part of the wheel that holds the tire. While many people refer to wheels as "rims," this is technically incorrect."

Now that you know the difference, maybe we better stay on topic.

This thread was dead when the OP asked that question. It's a matter of when/where you learned this stuff or slang v. standard. It isn't a matter of right or wrong. Thanks though.
