Wheel adapters

Has anyone installed wheel adapters, or have any opinions on them. I am having a hell of a time finding the style of wheel I want that will fit the car. I find very few 18x8.5 wheels that fit my criteria, and even fewer of those are 5-114.3 bolt pattern.

If anyone has any ideas as to where I might find a wheel that fits my needs, without using adapters or spacers, I would really appreciate it. This is my ideal wheel:

18x8.5
5-114.3 bolt pattern
+38mm to +45mm offset
Silver finish, but will also take chrome
(A very similar style wheel is the ADR Kasai, but I think those are discontinued, photo attached)
(Very similar to the new concept Mazdaspeed wheels also)

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Why not just get there (pulled from the New MS Wheels Thread)??? They won't need any sort of adapter.

Those are beautiful wheels, but I just don't have $2500 to spend on them. I think I may have found a similar wheel, but if it doesn't work out, I may end up going back to a 8" wheel. There just doesn't seem to be enough variety in 8.5".

check out wheeladapter.com.

i had a set made for my 5x100 wheels to fit the 5x114.3 pattern on the 8 and they can make them any thickness you want, (5mm, 10mm, 12mm, 20mm, even 6mm, 13mm, custom etc!) order them hub centric and its pretty much perfect.

Right now I have 20mm spacers on the rear of the stock 18" alloys before my volks come, and it rides like stock.

A while ago, i found this company that sells hubcentric spacers for our 8. But just when I am about to order a set of 25mm spacers...they ran out of stock. They told me the new shipment should be here in about 2 weeks.

Here is a link to their 15mm hubcentric spacers for the rx8. I will let you know how it goes when I get them. I only ordered a set for the rear only.

ummm.... not sure about those eBay sets. I've seen the studs on a set made for an Integ and studs are tiny! not really safe.

i have KTS wheel spacers that are adjustable anywhere from 5 mm to 30+mm.

they also come with studs if you go above 10 or 15mm. avaialbe in pairs.

i have 19x8.5 +45 in the front and am using a 30mm up front and 19x9.5 +30 with 5mm in the back.
