Wheel discoloration on chrome rims?
I found some discoloration on my chrome rims--no,not for the 8...it's actually on my Tahoe. Anyway, does anyone know how to remove it? It's sort like a goldish/brownish stain. would polishing it work?
What would cause this to develop?
Thanks for any suggestions.

is it just one wheel? is that wheel exposed to a lot of heat (exhaust?)? i dont think this would happen in such a short period of time, but maybe someone in the lane next to you had pulled up in just the right spot for their exhaust to directly blow (or be pushed, excreted, whatever) onto the wheel, heating it up & discoloring it. there is a similar issue with the Racing Beat exhausts, maybe even others that i am not aware of. you should be able to find a polish that can address the issue... good luck, hope this helped maybe a little bit...
