How many National level trophies have you won?

I'm sorry I use the RX8 for what it was built for...Not putting 19" wheels on it and looking at it while it sits in a parking lot...

Zero National Trophies when it relates to my car.
You good sir live in a fairy tale world if you in fact believe that our car was "built for racing"
are you joking?

do you really think that's what Mazda had in mind when they built it? I can picture the designers sitting around thinking, "I GOT IT! Let's build a car so that people can drive around silly little cones on the weekends to win sparkling little trophies!"

No, that's not what happened.
This car was built for the mass public who was shopping for a good looking sports car. It was targeted at more then just the weekend warrior, why else do you think we have leather interiors and an AUTOMATIC version.

You tell me I don't use my car for what it's worth?
I assure you there are more of us "looking at it while it sits in a parking lot" then there are of you running laps on the weekend.

Now get your little panties out of a bunch and buy yourself a sense of humor.

I like your wheels, but when you laugh at someone who disrespected what I do. Then I lose my respect for you...

When you refer to me as an idiot in a thread that I started, I lose my respect for you sir (or madam). Did those side skirts gave you more horsepower or something? No they just look cool. I have no intentions of taking my car anywhere near a track until I have paid it off. Not trying to **** anybody off by asking a question. (I actually do like your side skirts).

So... yeah

Anyway, I think I have decided to go with an 18x8 wheel and I will be dropping the 8 with some Tein S techs. The wheel I want is a sort of knock off of the Work Wheels emotion xt7's, But I just cannot justify the price while Im going to school. I found some that look EXTREMELY similar :

any opinions? I know they are cheap as sin and I wont be shedding weight with them or anything.

Yea we all posted opinions on stuff like that in the other threads where people asked about offset. You should try the search button. It has magical powers.

PS: Everytime you do a wheel search on tirerack/discount tire/whatever site like that, a unicorn gets cancer. Those wheel will suck compared to the correct width/offset.

I think Admin need to step in. This thread is about offset question, and anyone that can post helpful info or direct the new comer to the right thread should be doing just that.

The sarcastic comments and post are not necessary.

Let's try to make this a friendly place, don't jump all over the new guys.

I'm new here as a member and as a sponsor, and I'm feeling a lot of hostility and sometimes just rude post from long time members of this forum.

Maybe we should make a sticky that has tons of wheel fitment information and place it at the beginning of this subforum? Would posting a link to that stickied thread in the first few responses of every noob offset/wheel question be sufficient?

Read that and you will not need to ask any more questions...

Look for the "will it fit" thread, they'll help walk you through what wheels will fit and what won't.
We are nice people around here but there are some questions that have been beat into the ground.

^Yeah man, you see how I was helpful by posting that link for you first..When you refused to follow the advice I gave you, is when I became frustrated with you.

And those 18x8 MB wheels would look better if they were wider such as an 18x9 +40. Wheels that are 18x8 are just too skinny and sunken in, IF you are going just for looks. Go for something a bit wider.

I did in fact skim through what you suggested, Topgear, but I mean its mainly people asking if a certain wheel will fit their car, I really was looking to find out what the offset had to do with deciding on a wheel purchase. I do agree that a 9 inch wide wheel would be leet, but they dont have it in that width and I really like the look of it. Spacers? Not my favorite idea, but like I said, it wont be going to a track any time soon.

The Konig Lace is also a very handsome wheel and it is offered in an 8.5 and possibly a 9. I saw someone else on the forum mention it did. Does anyone know of a picture someone might have with this wheel on the car?
