Can anyone prove this?

Will 1-2" hurt your performance? (I guess 4" one will....)

I'm interesting in putting 20-25mm in the front and 1.5" with build-in stud in the rear.
But if the above statement is true, then I won't.

Hey Tony,

If you have time look me up at the San Francisco Region Solo event this Sunday and we can talk about chassis setup. I'm in RG4 in the silver STX 8.

Cheers,

coldnoodle:

As we discussed before I heard the "rubbing" very lightly when I went over a deep dip in the road. But I can't see any rub marks on the fender, so I put white masking take on the fender edge and drove over the same dip to see where it rubbed. But even after hearing "rubbing" and then looking on the tape, I can't see any marks that show where the tire is rubbing? Could it be somewhere other than the fender? Like the cover that runs inside the fender? It's really weired.

I am just trying to pin point the rubbing spot before i go ahead and do any rolling of the fenders.

Any suggestions?

This question is for you guys that have cars with a offset wheel or spacers. I know this causes tires to throw dirt up because it now sits a little out of the fender. Do you guys have an issue with the stuff being thrown into the body work causing damage? (I mean mostly good road driving, not off road or gravel road. ..i know it's a silly question but I thought I will ask anyway

ok..so ive read this thread n no one has really said anything that helps me. so im gona ask. heres my set-up.. my 8 is dropped 2", oem struts, sitting on 18x8.5 + 38 offset w/ 225/45/18 tires all around. does anyone else have the same set-up with spacers? if so wat size? im debating if i should go with 15mm all around or 15mm front and 20mm rears but i dont want any rubbing and i dont want to roll any fenders.

marky - as long as you can reduce the OEM stud length you should be able to do it, and I assume you have after market rims, so it shuld be fine if you have space for the studs in the back.

I use the factory setup and 25mm all around and only get a very slight rubbing in the back...which does not effect driving, unless I have 4 people in the car

So...my question, I know you guys haven't answered this the previous time too, but I am going to annoy everyone one last time to see if i can get any suggestions.

WHERE CAN THE TIRE RUB OTHER THAN THE FENDER? FOR THE LIFE OF ME I CANT SEEM TO SEE WHERE IT RUBS. ONLY WHEN I GO ON BIG DIP (LIKE THE ENTRANCE TO A DRIVEWAY) THAT I HEAR THIS SLIGHT RUB, NO RUB MARKS ANYWHERE.
ANY SUGGESTION IS APPRECIATED.

Do any of you who have spacers on stock wheels have pics? I am thinking about getting some spacers for my stocks to give my ride more of an aggressive look.

same here, would love to see pics with OEM rims ..lowered and stock suspension.. i was thinking about getting spacers too, but am wanted to lower it with Tein S-tech springs, so would 25mm be fine in this case?
