Actually, it may slow you down some... if you forget to put the tires back on!

Thank you for your reply. I asked cause I was a little bit worried when I saw them, they were about 2 kgs total. So I thought they may have a negative effect as long as rotary is lack on the torque

More unsprung weight... Newton's law of motion. The most basic of physics here, c'mon -_-....

Don't bother comparing straight line performance with an S2000, AP2 or AP1, I don't care. They will creep (slowly but surely) starting at 3rd gear. Been there done that with my friend's AP1.

Yes I know that. I mean we already did lots of rollings so we know how both cars go. So after installation we are going tho try again and see the diffence if Im slowed down on high speeds or not.

If you have short gear ratios It will be a close run

Check the power to weight ratio of both cars and report back. Gear ratios are similar.

Ok so I got the spacers installed. And I just came home from roll. And I can say that its not effected 0-100 kmh or high speed accelelations. It says they Improve handling but I didnt have time to test that. Their effect to speed is 0 thats all i can say. But maybe bigger spacers (2.5 cm ) etc may cause some turbilance around wheels and may slow down the car in higher speeds. Thank you all for detailed answers and helping

An S2K is superior to an 8 in every way, except for the rear seats(if you consider that a bonus).

^And i've raced numerous AP1's AP2's and CR's on Street tires and Hoosiers. They are one of the most tail happy cars I have ever driven...

my buddy is considering a AP1 right now. And because the AP1 has no LSD .. its more "wild" to drive and you apparently fish tail like a ****.

THe later models (AP2) have LSD.

Okay. I agree that S2k is wilder but if you enter corners fast and try to loose grip of the tail font tires on S2K losing more grip than 8 does. And probably youll end up on the wall If you are new on s2k. 8 is easier to drive and has more grip on the front.Thats my personal opinion considering to my own expriences. But Im respecting your opinions too. I wasnt trying to say that S2K is a bad car. Actually its very fun to drive and very nice car.

my friend and i can go through the same corner near the same speed and in his ap2 he is always sideways while i can hold the grip, he has owned the ap2 and an rx8 and in his opinion the s2k is much more tail happy
