Wheel Width Questions

Hello All,

I'm wanting to buy my first pair of aftermarket rims and have spent the past few days reading various different threads but can't quite decide what to get. I'm 90% sure I"m going to get 18" RPF1s but I don't know what width to get. I plan on taking my 8 to the track this summer so I'm looking for a good track day setup that I can also use as a Daily Driver.

Should I get 9.5 all the way around or is that not neccessary?

Really sorry if this is a repost. Thanks.

Also, I guess a recomendation on tire size would be helpful too. Sorry, I'm just getting in to all of this.

you wont regret getting the rpf1's in 9.5. Run a 265 or 275 width and youll stick to the track like crazy (with good tires of course)

updated my post for you.
Also, check out the "Will It Fit" thread. People there can help tell you whether your current options will fit on the car.

ie; you can post a size, offset, and tire, and we'll tell you whether it's a good fit or not.
ALSO, there is a , "Yes it does fit" thread where some of us have posted our setups and shown that they do fit.

^That's the same thing I thought about my 275 Azenis RT-615's. And the tail still likes to come out around ever corner while AutoX'ing, as well as when I was at the track in Savannah last week.

^Nope, Racing Beat front and rear. Along with the megans. At the track I raised the rear tire pressure, and that seemed to help a little. It is alot more noticable while AutoX'ing. Comming out of a corner in 2nd if I get on the throttle at all it will come out, Even when the rears dampening settings are set above 20 in the rear on a scale of 1-32, 1 being the stiffest. I'm starting to think that I would like to get some 5K rear springs instead of the 6K.

shiet man... I noticed less slip when I lowered my psi. Wierd. It was a little rainy at last weeks autox and I kept sliding out at the hairpin everytime. Brake early; but even a touch of gas coming out would throw me sideways. Ended up doing a 360

Just drifted it on the fun runs lol. Im definitely picking up some PT sways very soon.
