where do most people buy tires from
#27
Tire Rack is a sponsor here and they do us a great service with their website reviews and surveys. Their selection does miss a few brands, though (Toyo most notably). Those alone are reasons to push some action their way. Still, you're stuck finding somebody to do the work.
I got my last FD tires at the local Discount Tire because I needed them shaved and heat cycled - they did a good job.
In general, though, I prefer to take my business to the guy around the corner. He used to have a Big O franchise, now has a Tire Factory sign, but will order anything available and come pretty close to matching internet prices while offering excellent service. He does some of our routine maintenance, too, a lot cheaper than dealers and will often tell us when the stuff the dealer recommended is a waste of money. He also didn't at all mind mounting my last set of RE040s that I got slightly used on eBay for $400, even congratulated me on the deal. That sort of relationship is priceless.
