White Powder Coated Rims on Blue 8

So, I've been wanting some white rims. But, my wife just isn't going to allow it. =(

So I was thinking this morning about just getting my stock rims powder coated white. I did some searches, and couldn't find any pics of this done before.

What are your thoughts? I like the idea of white on blue, but I'm not sold on my powder coat shortcut though...

i have seen white powder coated rims on one of the black powder coated rims thread. Look up the black powder coated rims. The white rims are on a red 8.

there was a guy on here that did the exact same thing. Winning blue with white powder coated rims. To tell you the truth, it didn't look too bad, great alternative to getting aftermarket rims..

I 'm actually REALLY curious to see how that would turn out. I normally HATE white rims but I think they could look pretty good on a blue.

2 hours searching on this forum.. nada. =(

FYI - Total set up would be white pc rims, blue rotor hub w/ blue caliper.

much like this, but w/ white stock rims: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-exterior-appearance-body-kits-27/interest-rx-8-mazdaspeed-prototype-front-bumper-101385/

you can always look at the ings car to get an idea on how white wheels look on blue. Though they are TE37's you get the idea, it looks awesome

i like the idea of white rims on the blue but I have to agree with missyk in the fact that the stock rims may be a bit too thick

hah! that pic was my original inspiration for white rims - thanks for posting.

Ya - i'm not sure about the stock rims. I dunno- they are nice rims, I like them... pretty good for 'stock' if you ask me. But true, they may be too thick.

Haven't used photoshop in a long time... i'll give it a try... anyone want to take a crack at it?
