Yes, but I would not put concrete tires on your car.

Have you changed springs or mounted coilovers? If no, then yes. If yes, then maybe depending on the drop.

Just put a set of 245/40ZR18 Continental ContiExtremeContact (ultra-high-performance all-season) on yesterday. Fit perfectly.

Many posters on this board have 245's on their cars and it fits fine. After my stock tires wear out I will probably be going to 245's, either BF Goodrich Comp TA KD's, Goodyear GS-D3's, or Michelin Pilot Sport 2's.

Seems like they fit. Do they handle better?

Almost certainly so, but this is the best answer from a larger sample pool of users:

The guy at the local tire store told me that 245-40's gave exactly the same height as the stock 225-45's, where 225-40's would amount to a lowering of around 3/4". I ordered a set of Nero M+S 245-40's today and they should be in by Wednesday (11/10).

Yes, they definitely will fit. I have them on all four corners of my car. Check out this thread.

From where?!? They've been backordered at tirerack forever, and the only local place that actually had them in-stock refused to sell them to me (wanted to soak me for more $$$ for snows and Michelin Pilot Sports), so I went with the Continentals instead. No regrets on the Conti's, but I tried to find the PZero Nero M+S for weeks unsuccessfully.

Doesn't really need a poll, a bit of research would show you that they will...

BTW, have Yokohama AVS ES100s in 245/40ZR18 and they fit fine.
